Biking and Active Transportation

The City of Kent—working alongside valued community partners—is enhancing connections between neighborhoods and key destinations across the region. The goal is to provide residents with more convenient options for getting where they need to go, including safe and sustainable ways to travel without relying on a car.

In recognition of these continual efforts, the League of American Bicyclists honored the City of Kent with a Bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community Award on January 29th, 2026. This is a significant improvement from its Honorable Mention designation awarded by the League of American Bicyclists to the City of Kent in 2020.
